at Futurecom 2005
Chepstow, UK. 24th October, 2005. Newport Networks and Trópico Sistemas e Telecomunicações Ltda. will demonstrate joint capabilities at the Futurecom 2005 event in Brazil October 24th to 27th.
The Futurecom event encompasses marketing, technical and regulatory issues facing the Brazilian telecommunications industry. Trópico, a leading supplier of next-generation infrastructure solutions to network operators, will jointly demonstrate interoperability between their Vectura VSE VPN products and the Newport 1460 session controller. The demonstration will highlight high-performance VoIP and IP Centrex applications.
Trópico works with leading service providers to deploy or migrate their networks to a next-generation IMS architecture. The company's comprehensive Vectura solutions include softswitches, signalling servers, access gateways and application servers.
"With VoIP growing at such a rapid rate in this market, our service provider customers are clearly focused on long-term solutions that can scale well into the future," said José Carniel, Sales Director at Trópico. "We've found the Newport Networks 1460 to be an extremely future-proof session border control solution with excellent security and standards support that ensures long-term investment protection. We are pleased to be demonstrating with Newport Networks at Futurecom 2005."
The 1460 is the industry's most future proof session control solution offering unmatched scalability, RCNP (Revenue, Core, Network Protection) security and Tier-1 performance. The Newport 1460 can be deployed in an extremely flexible manner separating both signalling and media alongside a simple migration path to important future standards such as IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem).
