Ericsson Novates the Newport/Marconi Reseller Agreement
Caldicot UK, 19th April, 2006. Newport Networks, the developer of carrier-class Session Border Controllers, is pleased to confirm that, subsequent to the acquisition of key parts of the telecommunications equipment business of Marconi Corporation plc ("Marconi"), Ericsson Limited has novated the world-wide reseller agreement with Newport Networks previously signed with Marconi.

Ericsson plan to employ the Newport 1460 as part of their session border control solutions for applications such as carrier to carrier interconnect, lawful intercept and other homeland security opportunities.
