Caldicot, UK, 24th April, 2006. Newport Networks, a leading developer of carrier-class Session Border Controllers, is pleased to announce that Alan Nunn will be joining as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Nunn will be joining Newport Networks from BT where he has been employed for 19 years. Most recently Nunn held the position of Chief Voice Architect in BT Group's Chief Technology Office where he was responsible for setting the future direction of BT's voice networks, covering BT's move from traditional PSTN to the 21CN IP based infrastructure and new VoIP services. Working primarily with technology and strategic issues around voice and emerging broadband services, he played a significant role in the development of BT's 21CN core voice strategy as well as being critical to the emerging area of IP based interconnect.
