Newport Networks Signs Major OEM Agreement with Leading European Fixed/Mobile Network Equipment Vendor

07th March, 2008. Newport Networks Limited announced today that negotiations have been completed regarding the supply of a broad range of Border Gateway products to a world leading vendor of Next Generation Networks and solutions. An OEM Agreement has been completed and signed by both parties. Confidentiality provisions of the Agreement preclude the naming of the vendor at this time. The Company anticipates substantial business arising from this Agreement. Revenue is expected to grow through 2008 with the main impact in 2009 and beyond.

The Newport technology was selected after comprehensive testing of performance, features and integration capabilities with core network elements. The Newport technology offers industry-leading performance and will be used for sophisticated media switching, security and quality of service requirements in support of the deployment of global networks and advanced IP services.
