Newport Networks Introduces Powerful Call Routing Engine

Newport announces a complete, fully programmable, peering solution
that delivers call routing and SIP trunking services.

29th April, 2008 – London.  Newport Networks Limited announced today the availability of its Call Routing Engine (CRE). Newport's CRE enables operators and ITSPs to peer with other operators for wholesale call termination and origination and also enables service providers to deliver SIP trunking services to the Enterprise market.

The Newport Networks peering solution is a complete end-to-end application that integrates Newport's Session Border Controller (SBC) platforms with a robust, scalable and intelligent call routing and reporting engine. The peering solution combines Newport's advanced SBC features, including a programmable interoperability tool for network and device emulation, with a powerful Least Cost Routing tool and Routing Engine. Interconnecting NGN and IMS networks is also enabled with full 3GPP signalling support and Newport's interoperability tool.
